Tip #1: 4 Words…Mini Double Decker Compact
Let’s break it down. Before I started using Maskcara I was using:
- Make Forever Ultra HD Foundation: $44
- Too Faced Bronzer: $30
- Nars Blush – Orgasm: $30
- Tarteist PRO Glow Highlight & Contour Palette: $45
- Urban Decay – Naked Skin Shapeshifter Palette: $45
- Stila Lip Glaze: $28
- Nars Lipstick: $34
- Urban Decay Contour Brush: $34
- Makeup Forever Foundation Brush: $36
- Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Poured Crème Highlighter: $38
All of this comes to $364!! You could save $316 if you simplified your makeup to Maskcara Beauty IID Foundation. The basic quad includes your highlight, contour, blush/lip and illuminator for $12 each or $48, with your quad compact FREE. If you wanted to invest a little more up front you could opt for the Mini Double Decker Palette (picured below) and put all of your IID foundation colors and eyeshadows and pressed powders in one. It’s a great palette to grab and take with you and an especially easy travel kit! The beauty about Maskcara IIID Foundation is when you run out of one color, you don’t have to buy a whole new palette! You just purchase your $12 color whether it’s your highlight, contour, blush/lip or illuminator and pop it in your magnetic palette. Done! Again $$ saved!
Tip #2: Double Ended Brushes
Maskcara offers the signature 30 Second HAC Brush…and it’s the sh*t (pardon my language). It is your contour, highlight and blush brush in one. You can even use it for our Vanilla Dust Setting Powder! By combining two brushes into one, Maskcara is saving us around $35 per brush without sacrificing quality. And BTW, the brushes are gorgeous! Two-toned gold and rose gold make them luxurious and eye candy for your Maskcara Clutch (that’s a whole other post!).
Some of my other favorite brushes:
- Power Powder Brush – Great for any pressed powder application onto the Maskcara cream foundation on one end and getting a really precise chiseled contour using the other side.
- Detailed HAC Brush – I love using the smaller end for a more precise contour and the larger, stiffer end for stippling (blending) the contour.
When you spend money on makeup, you want it to stay on the whole day yes? The beauty of Maskcara is it’s specifically designed to be used WITHOUT a primer. $$ saved right there. I am on the oilier side so I like to use our Stay Spray, which is our setting spray on my face before I apply my makeup. It provides the perfect canvas (without the slick silicone most primers have in them) for the IIID Foundation. Then after applying everything EXCEPT mascara, I spray our Stay Spray liberally on my face and let it dry for a few seconds. Then I apply mascara if I need to and I’m off!
The beauty of this makeup is you can get your routine down to 10 minutes. Who wants to spend an hour getting ready? I know I don’t have that kind of time AND life doesn’t happen in front of the mirror.
If you have any questions about color matching, email me at maskcaraclaire@gmail.com. I can color match virtually anywhere in the country! I say let’s save some money by switching to Maskcara and spend it on a trip to Bora Bora. Who’s coming with me?
